President Bush is making selective use of an opinion poll when he tells people that Iraqis are increasingly upbeat.

And then they post these Polls that the President refers to in his speech.

_More than two-thirds of Iraqis surveyed face-to-face opposed the U.S. presence, but only one-quarter of respondents wanted American troops to leave right away.

_44 percent said their country is better off than before the war.

_More than six in 10 said they feel safe in their neighborhoods, up from four in 10 in June 2004.

_Half said the U.S.-led invasion of Iraq was wrong, up from 39 percent in February 2004.

_More than two-thirds said they expect things to get better in the coming months.

I was there for the relief efforts and the military paid tons for the initial relief, people just didn’t want to account for the money the military had to use. Teheran - Iran's President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad on Wednesday once again doubted the extent of the holocaust and termed it as a “fairy tale”.
Instead of referring to the main issue (Israel), the West rather refers to the fairy tale of Jewish massacre,Ahmadinejad said in a speech in Zahedan, southeast Iran, carried live on the news network Khabar.
If God, prophets and religion are rejected (in the West), then nobody will care, but if someone rejected this fairy tale of Jewish massacre, then the Zionist propaganda machinery cries its hearts out, Ahmadinejad said.
The West says that this Iranian president has said many ugly things and is not civilised and condemned me, Ahmadinjead said.
Ahmadinejad said that contrary to the Western claims, the progressive culture of Islam followed the path of peace and justice for all people throughout the world without discrimination.

“I assure you that we won’t step back one inch from our nuclear rights,” the president told the crowd, drawing chants of “Death to America!”

So many freakin people say the reason for the war on Iraq was oil, they don't want to admit that Saddam was a massive threat. Good on you President Bush and stay the course.

Q I would like to know why you and others in your administration invoke 9/11 as justification for the invasion of Iraq --

THE PRESIDENT: Yes --

Q -- when no respected journalists or other Middle Eastern experts confirm that such a link existed.

THE PRESIDENT: I appreciate that. 9/11 changed my look on foreign policy. I mean, it said that oceans no longer protect us, that we can't take threats for granted; that if we see a threat, we've got to deal with it. It doesn't have to be militarily, necessarily, but we got to deal with it. We can't -- can't just hope for the best anymore.

And so the first decision I made, as you know, was to -- was to deal with the Taliban in Afghanistan because they were harboring terrorists. This is where the terrorists planned and plotted. And the second decision, -- which was a very difficult decision for me, by the way, and it's one that I -- I didn't take lightly -- was that Saddam Hussein was a threat. He is a declared enemy of the United States; he had used weapons of mass destruction; the entire world thought he had weapons of mass destruction. The United Nations had declared in more than 10 -- I can't remember the exact number of resolutions -- that disclose, or disarm, or face serious consequences. I mean, there was a serious international effort to say to Saddam Hussein, you're a threat. And the 9/11 attacks extenuated that threat, as far as I -- concerned.

And so we gave Saddam Hussein the chance to disclose or disarm, and he refused. And I made a tough decision. And knowing what I know today, I'd make the decision again. Removing Saddam Hussein makes this world a better place and America a safer country. (Applause.)
